An exchange memoir is not an order-book record

It does not. That was the visible number, the number that could be reported from exchange liquidation dashboards.

The real book is already written in the order books;

Has anyone here actually read the book by @cz_binance, the patron saint of exchange bootlickers?

I will not put myself through that.

A founder memoir asks you to admire the narrator.

10.10.2025 asks you to inspect the machine.

And that machine still has not been properly opened:

People keep repeating the 19 billion USD liquidation number as if it describes the real damage.

It does not. That was the visible number, the number that could be reported from exchange liquidation dashboards.

It does not capture the full destruction inside unified margin systems, forced collateral unwinds, ADL events, hidden CEX liquidations, insurance fund absorption, delta neutral strategies breaking, market maker damage, off exchange hedges failing, and the second order damage created when invalid prices from one venue infected the rest of the market.

The real damage was likely far above 40 billion USD.

And the most important part is not even the size of the number.

The most important part is that #Binance has still not provided the evidence required to reconstruct what happened.

Evidence?

-Where is the complete second by second mark price history?

-Where are the index component logs?

-Where are the clipping logs?

-Where are the full price band records?

-Where is the liquidation volume per second?

-Where are the ADL queues?

-Where are the engine version hashes?

-Where are the parameter change records?

-Where are the latency, error rate and availability metrics?

-Where are the insurance fund transaction logs?

-Where are the bad debt records?

-Where is the proof of matching neutrality?

-Where is the proprietary exposure report?

-Where are the internal market making delta summaries?

-Where is the proof that no internal desk, affiliate, privileged market maker or related entity sold into users while the system was breaking?

This is the point.

On 10.10, users were liquidated at prices that did not represent the global market.

Collateral assets broke on Binance in ways that were not reflected across the wider market.

Some assets printed absurd levels on one venue while the rest of the market remained far higher. Liquidity vanished exactly where it mattered most.

Then the same venue that sits at the centre of global altcoin price discovery told the market to move on.

No.

That is not how serious markets work.

If a regulated exchange produced this kind of damage, a forensic reconstruction would not be optional. The engine would be examined.

The logs would be demanded. The internal flows would be inspected. The market maker relationships would be reviewed. The liquidation logic would be tested.

The conflicts of interest would be investigated. The people responsible would not get to hide behind carefully worded statements.

But in crypto, the largest exchange in the world can become the choke point for global price discovery, break under stress, compensate only selected damage, publish a narrative, and continue as if nothing structural happened.

Even worse, no country, no regulator with real teeth, no court and no judge has publicly forced the full record into daylight.

Not one.

That silence is the scandal.

This is why I do not care about the book.

The real book is already written in the order books, the depegs, the zero prints, the liquidation cascades, the missing logs and the refusal to provide the one thing that would settle the question:

Evidence.

Crypto needs memory.

Crypto needs accountability.

Crypto needs to stop worshipping the same centralized entities that can vaporize users in minutes and then call it market stress.

Never forget 10.10.

The multi- billion USD figure was only the visible wound.

The deeper damage was the proof that crypto price discovery is still hostage to opaque centralized power.
