I’m getting more and more requests for affiliates, promotions and partnerships.
With many of them, I genuinely wonder whether they have ever read a single thing I post.
With others, I can at least see some overlap or a reason why working together could make sense.
But the thought of posting a product here, praising it, telling people how great it is and putting my name behind things I cannot fully control makes my skin crawl.
I genuinely do not understand how some people make that decision so easily.
After everything that happened in my life, I believed I could rebuild my wallets by doing useful work the clean way.
Through voluntary support. By releasing free apps, helping people for free, doing research, publishing findings (some very huge) and building things that actually have value.
I never expected to get rich from it. I hoped I could at least cover the costs and treat this as a serious side project worth continuing.
To put that into perspective, after roughly 1 month of offering MASTRpass for free on the Solana dApp Store, total voluntary support came to around 0.1 SOL.
And if I add up everything people have donated to me over the last 3 years, I doubt it even exceeds $300.
That leaves me with 3 possibilities: either what I do here simply is not valuable enough, I am doing a terrible job of explaining why it matters, or I somehow managed to build an audience of 31,000 people who are just as broke as I am.
Now my laptop is dead, economically beyond repair, and I am seriously asking myself whether continuing to invest this much time, energy and money into all of this still makes sense.

While you are at it, do more than 8,000 free token checks for the community with your team through your own mobile apps, release tools people can use without paying you, spend years researching scams, exposing bullshit and trying to help people avoid losing money.
Then come back and tell me I should feel bad for asking for support.
