Yet Binance remains the largest price discovery venue in crypto, especially for altcoin pairs.

That contradiction matters. As long as massive liquidity stays parked there, opaque internal dynamics will continue to influence market prices. This does not change through criticism alone. It only changes when capital actually leaves.

Binance failed repeatedly, structurally, and predictably.

It broke AML and sanctions laws at scale. It admitted it. 4300000000 USD in fines. The founder pleaded guilty. This is criminal liability at the core of the company.

There is still no full, verifiable audit. Proof of reserves without liabilities is not transparency. It is theatre. Users cannot see real balance sheet risk. They are asked to trust a black box with systemic importance.

Price integrity has been compromised again and again. Abnormal wicks. Exchange specific crashes. Liquidations triggered on Binance prices that never existed elsewhere. Because Binance is the main price oracle for altcoins, its internal issues become everyone’s problem.

Custody is fully centralised. Users do not control keys. Wallet structure is opaque. Internal fund flows are not auditable in real time. If something goes wrong, users are unsecured creditors. History already showed how that ends.

Rules change without warning. Trading pauses. Parameter shifts. Delistings. No due process. No appeal. No accountability. You play on their field, by their rules, updated whenever it suits them.

They see everything. Positions. Liquidation levels. Flows. That asymmetry alone is toxic. Even if abused only once, trust is permanently gone. You cannot prove it is not abused.

Binance shaped the culture. Extreme leverage pushed to retail. Losses normalised. Responsibility shifted to users. The house always survives. The crowd does not.

The problem is not Binance being evil. The problem is Binance being too powerful, too opaque, and still central to price discovery. As long as people keep their money there, nothing changes. Not the behaviour. Not the incentives. Not the risk.
