That most big accounts are scammers is a community problem. That their content and slop gets algorithmically pushed is a platform problem and one you could change.
I feel the argument you make in the attached screenshot collapses once you look at incentive design.
If reach were a finite daily budget allocated even remotely rationally, low effort spam would decay naturally.
Instead it compounds. That alone tells you the system is not neutral to content quality. It is structurally biased toward behavioral patterns that maximize short term engagement signals like repetition, familiarity, and emotional reflexes.
Slop works because it is cognitively cheap and fast to react to. It requires no thinking, no context, no patience.
Serious posts fail because they demand exactly those things. Time, attention, interpretation.
The algorithm is not observing user behavior passively. It is actively shaping it. It trains users into the behaviors that best serve the metric it optimizes.
This is a selection mechanism, not an accident, and not only user self sabotage.
When specific narratives dominate, it is not organic consensus. It is feedback amplification. Once a narrative crosses a performance threshold, it is reinforced simply because it already performs, while everything that does not fit its shape or tone is algorithmically starved.
It is also reasonable to point out, as a purely factual and sober observation, that such outcomes may align with what leadership tolerates or prefers.
Systems almost always reflect the incentives and boundaries set by those who define success metrics. No intent needs to be assumed. Structure alone is sufficient.
Pushing simple, dominant narratives while letting others quietly disappear shapes discourse without explicit censorship. It looks neutral from the outside. It is not.
Yes CT culture is dying because a large part of the user base is dumb and uneducated, AND because the algorithm does nothing to counterbalance that reality.
It does not help good content surface. It does not slow noise. It does not reward depth or originality.
Instead it accelerates conformity, amplifies shallow repetition, and lets low effort narratives cannibalize everything else.
I think it is the predictable result of how the system is designed and what it chooses to reward.
