  1. A brand is not an application review

Base is an Ethereum layer-2 network. An EVM wallet can show the same account address on Base and Ethereum mainnet while holding different balances on each. A receiving exchange or service must support the particular network and asset to credit a deposit correctly.

A brand is not an application review

The network's association with Coinbase does not mean that every token launched on it is a Coinbase product or has been reviewed by Coinbase. Permissionless deployment allows unrelated projects to use the same infrastructure.

Check a project's token contract, administrators, liquidity positions and official domains. For a bridge, identify whether it is the canonical route or a third-party service and whether the destination token is native issuance or a bridged representation.

An application can be unavailable because of its website or RPC provider while the underlying network continues operating. See frontend dependencies and fake listing claims.
