TRON supports smart contracts and tokens, with transaction resource accounting that includes bandwidth and energy. A transfer's cost and permissions depend on the operation and available resources. A displayed dollar token can also be a claim on a central issuer with its own restrictions.
Verify more than the ticker
An exchange may support a stablecoin on TRON and the same ticker on another chain. Its deposit address and supported network must match your transfer. A familiar symbol or a price near one dollar does not prove that a token is the issuer's authentic contract.
When someone offers rented resources, managed wallets or help with permissions, establish what authority they request. Permission changes can have consequences beyond one transfer. Treat a stranger's instructions to import a key or modify wallet control as a custody decision.
Do not confuse the TRON protocol with every statement or action of its founder or ecosystem companies. The TRX/BTT historical case identifies the specific conduct described in the SEC record.
