It seems that many of the recent X profile #hacks have one thing in common — third-party apps like “Twitter for Web” or similar being connected to the account. The best thing you can do is revoke all access for any third-party apps.
It’s not a guarantee for complete safety, but it helps close potential backdoors for hackers and scammers.
