The frontend outage that exposed Web3’s web dependencies

We love to say crypto is decentralised.

But today the illusion cracked again in real time.

#Cloudflare goes down and the entire front end of crypto collapses:

X down.
#Coingecko down.
@Dexscreener and @DEXToolsApp down.
Scanners dead.
Portfolio apps failing.
Even outage trackers dropping with them.
And plenty more in the dark.

All because the majority of #crypto front ends still lean on a single centralised web provider for access, routing and delivery.

One outage and the whole industry is blind, deaf and helpless.

This is again a single point of failure.

Long way to go.

Web3 is still far too much Web2.
