Because every scam that gets normalised damages the entire space.
Every paid shill who dumps garbage on retail makes the next honest builder harder to trust. Every hacker who drains a protocol gives outsiders another reason to stay away forever.
Every influencer who sells access, hype and fake conviction turns crypto from a financial revolution into a casino with better branding.
If you claim to care about decentralisation, self custody, financial freedom or Bitcoin, then you cannot stay silent while the space gets filled with predators.
What many people underestimate is that the reported damage from hacks, breaches and exploits is only the snapshot.
It shows what was drained in that moment, but it does not show the billions that will never come back into crypto because people were directly affected, lost money and will avoid this space forever, or because others watched it happen from the outside and decided crypto is not worth the risk.
That is why we need to talk about this, because it has sadly become normal.
The same applies to scams, shitcoins and rugs.
$TRUMP, $MELANIA and $LIBRA were only the tip of the iceberg of a culture that has normalised extracting from other people and selling garbage as opportunity.
And then people still wonder why crypto is in the state it is in.
