The timing deserves scrutiny because #Binance has achieved something genuinely pathetic: the world’s largest crypto exchange has no MiCA licence anywhere in the EU.

Concerns about its AML record, labyrinthine and offshore corporate structure and CZ’s continuing influence and 10/10 are valid reasons.
He resigned as CEO but remains the ultimate beneficial owner, meaning regulators cannot simply pretend he disappeared.
Binance also tested Ireland and Latvia, while France was later reported as another possible route.
Bulgaria is legally possible.
A licence from the Bulgarian FSC could be passported across the EU, and Binance already has staff and operational links in Sofia.
There is yet no public evidence of a Bulgarian application.
Bulgaria is a plausible lead.
If Binance is quietly shopping for a friendlier regulator after humiliating itself again and again, the FSC should examine every ownership, AML and governance detail.
A new postcode cannot disinfect a company that pleaded guilty in the US and paid $4.3 billion over its compliance failures, nor can it make CZ’s shadow disappear.
