Consumers usually recognise a brand. Regulators authorise particular legal entities for particular activities. The same group can use several companies, domains and regional terms. A general statement that a brand is regulated may leave the actual customer relationship unclear.
Read the record directly
Identify the entity named in your account terms. Compare its legal name, website and authorised services with the relevant official register. Check the record date and any restrictions. If a message announces a migration, verify it through the provider account you already use.
MASTR's MiCA article distinguishes authorised records, unique entity names, firms leaving a market and entries for non-compliant services. These are not interchangeable populations. Unauthorised activity is not automatically a criminal fraud conviction.
