I believe there is no place left in crypto for those who believed in what it once was.
For fuck’s sake, at this point banks are better.
The old fiat system is safer, more transparent, and more reliable.
These are my words, and I mean them seriously. And I say this as someone who wants crypto to succeed.
But some chains are lost. Completely lost.
I feel more and more like I am out of place. Maybe I am the problem. Maybe I should just accept that some actors call themselves DeFi infrastructure while being the clearest possible proof of centralisation and extraction.
In the last 2 years I have gained almost 27000 followers by pointing out these problems, building solutions, and providing them for free to make this space better. Even though maybe roughly the same number have blocked me because I exposed their shady business.
Unfortunately, it often feels pointless, because hardly anyone truly values this work. Most people just want supply control and 2000% gains overnight. That is something I cannot offer.
There is total lawlessness. Everyone who can extract does so. Everyone who can exploit does it. The few who still think otherwise lack power, coordination, or incentives to change anything.
There is no decency and no morality anymore.
When a memecoin factory like pumpfun can generate $16 million in fees in 1 day, it becomes undeniable that the system is optimised for hype velocity and fee extraction, not for ethics, sustainability, or long term value.
What once claimed to be permissionless innovation has degraded into permissioned extraction.
Narratives are no longer discovered through merit. They are injected through capital, distribution deals, and coordinated amplification.
Communities are not organic and meaningless because they move where the biggest shillers are.
They are assembled through incentives, referrals, and revenue sharing or giveaways/ airdrops.
Success is measured only in volume, impressions, and conversion, never in usefulness or integrity.
On Solana in particular, this has become a visibly coordinated capital rotation machine.
The same actors repeatedly appear across launchpads, DEXs, validators, RPC providers, market makers, and influencer networks.
They cross promote each other, list each other, and recycle liquidity between their own products while retail reliably becomes exit liquidity.
The money flow is brutally simple and brutally efficient.
Attention creates launches. Launches create swaps. Swaps create fees. MEV extracts execution.
Validators, RPC providers, and private orderflow actors see transactions before users do.
DEXs monetise every click. Launchpads monetise every illusion. Influencers monetise every narrative. Losses remain with retail. Then the friendly CEX steps in, collects fees, controls supply, and occasionally dumps on you.
There is no accident here.
This is not incompetence.
This is deliberate design.
A closed loop where incentives reward proximity to infrastructure and distribution, not those who build real value, and certainly not those who still believe.
Crypto did not fail because of regulation.
It is failing because greed won from the inside, and because there is no regulation where it actually matters.
And yes, all of this will continue and get worse.
I will keep going anyway. Possibly for nothing. Because in the end, most people will not support work and seriousness if it does not come with a $200k airdrop attached.
