I totally agree.
But CT is both a victim and complicit at the same time.
If likes were public again, people would instantly see what this really is.
A huge share of the biggest MAGA and Russian and european extreme right propaganda accounts would be exposed for what they are: artificially inflated, botted up, algorithmically juiced garbage farms built to manufacture legitimacy, drown people in repetition, and make lies look popular.
And yet CT gets singled out as if it were the core problem.
This entire platform has decayed into a cesspool for sociopaths, propagandists, professional liars, engagement parasites, and emotionally broken people looking for someone to blame for their own emptiness.
It has become a machine for misinformation, distortion, rage farming, and mass psychological manipulation.
A place where shamelessness and scam is rewarded, dishonesty is monetized, and the most morally bankrupt voices are pushed to the top because outrage, fear, tribalism, and stupidity keep people scrolling.
This is no longer a platform built around discussion or truth.
It is an amplifier for narcissists, demagogues, conspiracy addicts, fascist trash, and every variety of grifter who knows that enough repetition can make even the dumbest fiction feel real to a sufficiently damaged audience.
It feeds on resentment. It feeds on insecurity. It feeds on lonely, angry, mentally fragile people who want simple enemies, simple slogans, and someone louder and uglier than themselves to follow.
CT gets blamed, mocked, and turned into the convenient scapegoat, while the broader platform rots from top to bottom under industrial scale propaganda, fake consensus, bot engagement, and manipulated perception.
But...let us not forget that CT was one of the first places to embrace this garbage, and behind the excuse of shitposts and memes it already lost any real respect for basic human decency very early on.
Driven by greed, and by an endless supply of idiots who would probably sell even their own mother just to look cool or make a 2x.
The truth is much uglier than people want to admit.
This platform has become a digital sewer for disinformation and a collection chamber for deeply dissatisfied people who would rather worship poison than face reality.
That is exactly what happens when billionaires and already influential idiots are given free rein.
And still, many people here treat certain regulations, which are simply part of how societies function together because nobody can just do whatever they want, as a greater danger than the growing power of political extremism, which means only one thing: society being steered in the direction preferred by those with the biggest wallets.
The worst part is that many of the people who believe this garbage, spread it, and deepen the division between human beings, allies, and friends are often the very people who most desperately needed love, dignity, education, and a way out of the pit of racism, homophobia, misogyny, xenophobia, and the worship of centralized power.
Instead, they were fed poison, taught to fear, and turned into willing carriers of the very ugliness that is destroying them.
