A running chain can have an inaccessible app
Websites, RPC providers, DNS and indexers remain operational dependencies.

An application usually depends on services between the user and the blockchain. Its website must load, its RPC service must answer, its indexer must display relevant state and its wallet integration must construct the intended request. A failure in any of these can look like a chain problem.
Locate the failure before naming it
Distinguish an unavailable interface from a failed transaction or a consensus interruption. Record timestamps and error context. A second data source can help identify a display issue, but it should not be treated as permission to use an unfamiliar replacement website suggested by a stranger.
MASTR's December 2025 X commentary considered possible effects of Cloudflare disruption. That post should not be repurposed as a confirmed cause for every outage at the time. A provider postmortem or other direct evidence is needed for attribution.
For a product review, document its critical service dependencies and how users obtain trustworthy status information. Recovery communication is itself a target for impersonators.
