🚨 Here are some tips from our cybersecurity specialist to prevent account compromises:

1️⃣ Revoke Unnecessary App Permissions

Regularly review third-party app access (X Settings → Security and Account Access → Apps and Sessions).

Remove any apps you don’t recognize or don’t actively use.

2️⃣ Use Strong 2FA (Avoid SMS!)

Use hardware security keys (e.g., YubiKey) or app-based 2FA (Google Authenticator, Aegis, or Authy).

Avoid SMS-based 2FA, as it can be intercepted or bypassed via SIM-swapping attacks.

3️⃣ Strengthen Your Password Security

Use a long, complex, and unique password.

Store your passwords in a trusted password manager like Bitwarden or 1Password.

4️⃣ Secure Your Email Account

Since email can be used for password resets, enable 2FA on your email.

Consider using a separate, private email for sensitive accounts.

5️⃣ Monitor Account Activity

Check active sessions and connected devices in your account settings.

Enable login alerts to get notified about suspicious login attempts.

6️⃣ Beware of Phishing & Suspicious Links

Never enter your X credentials on unknown websites.

Avoid clicking on random links in DMs or emails, as phishing attempts are increasing.

7️⃣ Stay Updated & Be Proactive

Regularly review your security settings.

Keep up with the latest security threats in the crypto space.

By following these steps, you significantly reduce the risk of being compromised. Stay safe! 🔒
