It is no secret that CT is mostly populated by people trying to make money.
The part nobody likes admitting is that this money does not appear from nowhere.
For someone to walk away with profit, someone else has to buy too late, trust the wrong person, hold the exit liquidity or lose entirely.
Yet the entire culture is built around pretending that everybody can win if they just find the right token, follow the right KOL or join the right group early enough.
The more depressing part is that useful content and serious builders barely stand a chance unless they join the same circus.
They have to become permanently bullish, accept paid promotions, sell meaningless badges, launch a token, create artificial urgency or imply that their audience can make money from following them.
Refuse to do that and you quickly discover how little this industry actually values research, security, infrastructure or honesty.
I have 8 subscribers, and I am genuinely grateful to every one of them.
But having only 8 is also the predictable result of refusing to sell false hope.
I do not promise life-changing returns, pretend every mediocre protocol is revolutionary or turn obvious risks into opportunities because someone paid me.
I publish uncomfortable facts, criticism and information intended to stop people from losing money, and that is simply a far worse business model than feeding their greed.
People constantly claim they want independent research, honest builders and accountability, but they financially reward the exact opposite.
They pay the shiller who tells them what they want to hear, support the casino giving them another dopamine hit and ignore the people spending hours checking contracts, wallets, insiders and lies.
Then they complain that the industry is full of scammers, fake builders and worthless content.
That outcome is not accidental.
CT has spent years rewarding deception, manufactured optimism and retail extraction while expecting serious people to work for free.
An industry eventually becomes what it funds, and this one has funded bullshit exceptionally well.
Think carefully about what you still want to see here in the future, because the good ones are becoming increasingly rare.
More and more people doing work that actually benefits the space are asking themselves whether it is still worth doing it here at all.
