Crypto desperately needs a break.
A crypto software engineer, @AlexanderTw33ts , just launched a platform where AI agents can rent humans via API, with payments in crypto.
You already know what I think about the AI agents hype that flooded Solana and the rest of crypto, pretending to be the saviors of the space. They weren’t saviors. They weren’t innovators.
They were mostly scam projects designed to steal money with big promises and nothing else. AI agents were quickly abused by scammers to fool people and just as quickly disappeared. Now we’ve reached a new level of absurd creativity, straight out of a Black Mirror episode (which, by the way, is one of my favorite series): Humans listing their skills and hourly rates from $5 to $50 per hour...based on what an AI agent needs. Of course, there’s absolutely nothing real or sustainable behind this.
It’s pure SF, nothing more. But once again, it shows how easily people fall for hype and how herd-like behavior in crypto has become. Over 100,000 sign-ups in just a few days and there are people dreaming about a life coordinated by AI in exchange for money. Basically an OnlyFans or PumpFun Live on steroids,
where AI handles the “brains” and humans provide the real-world labor… until robots replace them.
Honestly, it’s time we all take a break from crypto. The space has seriously degenerated.
