PnL screenshots: the missing denominator

A profit screenshot can omit losing wallets, earlier losses, token transfers, fees and positions that cannot be sold near the displayed price. Even a genuine number may describe a different period or valuation method from the one viewers assume.

Reconstruct the result

Separate realised proceeds from unrealised valuation. Establish the cost basis and whether the assets were purchased, transferred in or allocated. Include the full period and all positions under the stated strategy. Identify the price source for illiquid holdings and the costs required to exit.

Two providers can disagree without either fabricating data. They may use different token universes, price histories, transfer handling or refresh times. MASTR's copy-trading workbook preserves these differences instead of averaging incompatible figures into a single confident score.

A trader who publishes only successful calls also creates survivorship bias. The right comparison is between the full stated strategy and the results a follower could actually have achieved, not the best image selected after the event. See holder screenshots for a related visual trap.
